1. The following should not be administered this drug.
Infants up to 1 year old (only if administration and dose are indicated for infants)

1) Patients with hypertension (exacerbation of illness and symptoms may occur.)
2) Patients with cardiac impairment (exacerbation of illness and symptoms may occur.)
3) Patients with renal impairment (exacerbation of illness and symptoms may occur.)
4) Patients with edema
5) Patients with voiding dysfunction (exacerbation of illness and symptoms may occur.)
6) Patients with substantially weak stomachs (loss of appetite, stomach discomfort, nausea, or vomiting may appear.)
7) Patients with loss of appetite, nausea, or vomiting (exacerbation of symptoms may occur.)
8) Patients who are weak and substantially weakened after illness (sickness) (adverse reactions may easily appear, and symptoms may be exacerbated
9) Patients who sweat a lot (profuse sweating and systemic weakness, etc. may appear.)
10) Hyperthyroidism patients (exacerbation of illness and symptoms may occur.)
11) Patients with diabetes (Ephedra herb (ephedrine) may promote glycogen breakdown and increase blood sugar level.)

3. In the following cases, immediately discontinue administration of this drug and consult a physician, oriental medicine practitioner, dentist, pharmacist or oriental pharmacist. If possible, the patient should take this document with him/her when consulting.
1) Cases where the following symptoms have appeared as the result of administration of this drug
(1) Pseudoaldosteronism : Reduced urine, edema of the face, hands and feet, heavy eyelids, stiff hands, hypertension and headache, etc. (Preparations with maximum daily doses of 1g as licorice may result in pseudoaldosteronism with symptoms such as hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, sodium fluid retention, edema, and weight gain, etc. when administered for prolonged periods; observe sufficiently (measure serum potassium level) and discontinue administration if anomalies are confirmed.)
(2) Myopathic disorder : Myopathic disorder may appear as the result of hypokalemia; observe sufficiently, and discontinue administration upon confirmation of weakness, cramping of the limbs, and paralysis, etc.
(3) Liver impairment, jaundice : Liver impairment, systemic fatigue, jaundice (skin or whites of eyes turning yellow) may appear with elevated AST, ALT, ALP, and γ-GTP, etc.; observe sufficiently and discontinue administration if anomalies are confirmed.
(4) Skin : Rashes, redness, itchiness, hives, etc.
(5) Autonomous nervous system : Insomnia, excessive sweating, frequent urination, palpitations, systemic weakness, psychoanaleptic effect, etc.
(6) Digestive system : Loss of appetite, stomach discomfort, nausea, vomiting, etc.
(7) Urinary system : Voiding dysfunction
(8) Misc. : Exacerbation of rashes and dermatitis, etc.

4. Miscellaneous precautions when administering this drug
1) Adhere strictly to prescribed method and dose of administration.
2) Continued long-term administration should be avoided in principle; consult a physician, oriental medicine practitioner, dentist, pharmacist or oriental pharmacist before administering for prolonged periods of time.
3) Children should be instructed and supervised by a guardian when taking this drug (for products with doses and administration instructions for children only)
4) Administer carefully when administering concomitantly with preparations containing ephedra herb or ephedrine, MAO inhibitors, thyroid drugs (thyroxin, liothyronine), catecholamine preparations (epinephrine, isoprenaline), xanthine based preparations (Theophylline, Diprophylline) as this may lead to symptoms such as insomnia, excessive sweating, tachycardia, frequent urination, palpitations, systemic weakness, and psychoanaleptic effects, etc.
5) Administer with caution as concomitant administration with preparations containing potassium, licorice, glycyrrhizinic acid or salts thereof, loop diuretics (furosemide, Etacrynic acid) or thiazide diuretics (trichloromethiazide) may cause myopathic disorder due to pseudoaldosteronism or hypokalemia.
6) Avoid redundant herbal medicine content when administering together with other oriental pharmaceutical preparations.
