Oblong tablet with convex faces
Candesartan cilexetil 16mg, Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg
Administer 1 tablet once a day after meals or regardless of meals.
Before switching to this drug, adjust Candesartan cilexetil dose. When clinically appropriate, direct switch from single therapy to this drug may be considered. Anti-hypertensive effect appears within 4 weeks of administration in most cases.
Elderly patients: Adjust Candesartan cilexetil dose before administering this drug to elderly patients.
Patients with renal damage: For patients with renal damage, loop diuretics are recommended over thiazide diuretics. For patients whose creatinine clearance is 30ml/min/1.73m2BSA or higher, consider adjusting Candesartan cilexetil dose before switching to this drug.
Do not administer to patients with severe renal damage (creatinine clearance less than 30ml/min/1.73m2BSA).
Patients with liver damage: For patients with mild to moderately severe liver damage, adjusting Candesartan cilexetil dose is recommended before administering this drug. Do not administer to patients with severe liver damage or cholestatis.
Pediatrics: Pediatric safety and efficacy not proven.
